BD service trips help strengthen health systems in communities

Prime employer BD offers all company associates the opportunity to apply to participate in Volunteer Service Trips. These trips involve partnering with non-profit organizations to share company expertise and passions in order to improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations.

In an engaging video (above), BD associates who took part in a BD Volunteer Service Trip to Mexico share what they enjoyed about the experience and why the trips are so important.

BD volunteer trips offer a deep understanding of people around the world

"We do volunteer service trips because it gives our organization a deep understanding of what people around the world, who really don't have the access to healthcare that they should, go through on a daily basis," says Vincent Forlenza, CEO and Chairman of BD.

Speaking in the video, three BD women share the following views:

"To make a difference, to support the cause behind CDLA, has been something that reinforces my desire to continue to say that I am BD and I work for BD," says employee Rochelle Landry, based in Denver.

"What I take away from this trip is the smiling faces of the children. That was the best," says Deborah Nicolescu, based in Switzerland.

"The love that I have for the kids and for the purpose - you can't put a price to it," adds Marcella Alzate-Gomez, from San Antonio.
