Amazon unveils health tech services for employees

 November 25, 2019

Women working with Amazon enjoy innovative benefits and support. For example, Amazon has launched app-based medical services for its employees in Seattle.

The app service, dubbed Amazon Care, experiments with new ways to improve the experience of healthcare. It combines an app for video calls and text chats with qualified doctors and nurses with visits from “mobile care nurses” to employees’  homes and offices.

Amazon is working with Oasis Medical to provide the clinicians and will also deliver prescriptions to patients.

The launch of Amazon Care comes after the company established Haven, a joint venture in healthcare with bank JPMorgan Chase and Warren Buffett’s investment firm Berkshire Hathaway. Amazon also recently bought online pharmacy, PillPack.

Amazon is piloting the healthcare benefit for employees in Seattle to help them get fast access to healthcare without an appointment.

The Financial Times explains more about Amazon Care and its exciting features.
