Colleagues working at Spirax Sarco in the UK, part of Spirax-Sarco Engineering, inspired future generations by inspiring primary school children about careers in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
The company's Training Centre Team talked to pupils at Woodmancote School as part of the school's dedicated 'STEM Week'. With the help of Spirax Sarco, the children were able to learn how steam is used to create energy from waste.
"We now have 60 six-year-olds who are excited about science and maths!" commented Spirax Sarco.
Further involvement with children
Visiting schools is just one example of how Spirax-Sarco Engineering engages with local communities and works with young people.
The company has previously supported Acorns Children's Hospice and donates over £250,000 to various worthy causes annually from its central charitable budget.
