84.51°'s ITOPiA initiative hosted a successful presentation led by Glen Cathey, Head of Digital Strategy and Innovation at recruitment agency, Randstad.
Glen was also joined by four key human resources (HR) and diversity and inclusion (D&I) leaders at Kroger and 84.51° discussing a variety of topics.
"We loved hearing [Glen's] research on the importance of introverts and extroverts in the workplace," 84.51° commented.
Empowering and supporting workers
ITOPiA is a group that seeks to empower and support introvert employees at 84.51° through education, career development, and access to key leadership, all while building relationships with colleagues.
To accomplish this mission, ITOPiA has instituted several initiatives. The company has created 'pods' where 84.51° employees can find community and involvement with fellow introverts, ITOPiA has held effective presentations such as: 'How to Prepare for a Presentation' and 'What Does Public Speaking Look Like?' and has also held panels with extroverted individuals that allow introverts to get in the head of an extrovert and ask for advice or feedback.
