Key focus areas for sustainability
Diageo's priorities are guided by the issues that are most material to its business and the value chain it creates.

Diageo puts its resources and skills into programmes that prevent and reduce alcohol misuse, working with others to raise awareness and change people's attitudes and behaviour. The company markets its products responsibly and provides the information consumers need to make informed decisions about drinking, or choosing not to drink.
- Pioneer Grain to Glass Sustainability: For our business to be sustainable, it needs to create enduring value. Diageo wants to positively impact the communities in which it operates, sources and sells and protect the natural resources on which we all depend. Diageo aims to make sure it is doing business the right way, from grain to glass. Diageo wants to promote inclusive growth by fostering sustainable value chains, delivering integrated community programmes, and using natural resources efficiently across its whole value chain.
