Kate Gibson, Director of Diageo in Society, has been recognised on Timewise Power List, run by social business and flexible working experts. All 25 game-changing business leaders on the Power List were hired, or promoted, into top jobs on a part-time basis. 

Responsible for Diageo's social impact globally

Kate is responsible for ensuring Diageo makes a positive contribution to society around the world. She collaborates with teams across the business on programmes to deliver Diageo’s priorities to promote positive drinking, champion inclusion and diversity and pioneer grain to glass sustainability.

Launching Diageo's ten-year roadmap and goals

A highlight of Kate's career is her work leading a diverse, cross-functional team to develop and launch Society 2030: Spirit of Progress, Diageo’s ten-year roadmap and 25 ambitious goals to help create a more inclusive and sustainable world.

Working part-time after maternity leave 

Kate began working part-time in 2011 after her second maternity leave and was hired into her current role on that basis.

She is passionate about sharing her work the next generation, leading assemblies on the SDGs and setting up a Sustainable Development award at her children’s school.
