Diageo Chief HR Officer Mairéad Nayager is recognised as an Advocate in the EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Model Lists. Additionally, Diageo's Chief Executive, van Menezes, comes top of the EMpower 100 Ethnic Minority Executives List.

The EMpower Role Model Lists are split into three categories - Executives, Advocates and Future Leaders. Each lists celebrates those driving the charge for inclusion and diversity in business.
Commended for ensuring inclusion and diversity sits at the heart of Diageo, Mairéad has been recognised for her achievements to date, and the business’ future commitments, including 50% female and 45% ethnically diverse representation across its leadership by 2030.
Launching ambitious representation goals and initiatives

As well as launching ambitious representation goals, Diageo also introduced initiatives including the $20 million community fund to help black communities and businesses recover from COVID-19 in North America, became an early signatory of the Change the Race Ratio and worked closely and supported employee resource groups across the world, such as AHEAD (African Heritage Employees at Diageo) in North America and REACH (Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage) in the UK.
