NTU has won a number of highly prestigious Green Gown Awards, presented by the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC).
- UI GreenMetric
NTU has been named the fourth most sustainable university in the world by the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, an initiative of Universitas Indonesia. Universities are ranked using six indicators: setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation and education.
- Sustainability Leadership Scorecard (SLS)
NTU has achieved an overall performance level of Platinum for all frameworks of the SLS, which allows institutions in the HE and FE sector to understand their current position with regards to sustainable development, whilst assisting in developing routes for improvement.
- Green Flag Status
Since the summer of 2012, both NTU's Clifton and Brackenhurst Campuses have been awarded the Green Flag status. This is a national award recognising green spaces throughout the country.
