Joelle Ivett explains impactful social projects at Arcadis

 February 02, 2022

Women at Arcadis are often involved in impactful infrastructure projects that help to solve major challenges facing individuals and society.

Senior Project Manager, Joelle Ivett, discusses how Arcadians are tackling city centre homelessness in light of the growing demand for emergency accommodation to support vulnerable people.

As part of the company's social commitment, Arcadis is offering pro-bono quantity surveying and project management work for a project led by charity, Embassy.

The project is providing up to 40 new permanent modular homes in the UK city of Manchester, all of which will be made from re-purposed shipping containers, for those in need.

The residents of these homes will have access to a community hub for training, mentoring, socialising, and exercising.

"As we look to the future, we aim to improve quality of life with every project we do and to give our clients and our own people a deep sense of pride in working for the common good," explains Joelle.
