Meet Alyssa Long, Systems Engineer II, Neuroscience, CST Research & Development

Alyssa Long says: "As a Systems Engineer, I work with cross-functional teams and customers to determine the scope of navigation for spine projects. Once the scope is set, our team of engineers has a crucial role in designing, testing, and ensuring the quality of the navigation software that is created. The work we do every day is focused to help alleviate pain and improve the outcome of surgery for patients."


Meet Delphine Longrie, Senior Process Engineer, Diabetes RD Absorb team for Medtronic’s Tempe Campus (MTC)

Medtronic’s Tempe Campus (MTC) is one of Medtronic's Technology Development Centers falling under the CRM Operating Unit. 

Delphine Longrie says: "My role is to develop the equipment and processes needed to deposit one of the many layers that will make up these sensors with as goal improving the lives of our Diabetes patients around the world. The main benefits of these improved sensor will be increased accuracy, they will no longer need to be calibrated using finger pricks and they will last twice as long as the current ones, all with as end goal decreasing the burden of care for our patients."


Meet Rosa Araiza, Manufacturing Engineer, Surgical Innovations

Rosa Araiza says: "I engineer the extraordinary for patients by supporting the manufacturing line in its daily production and by executing projects to improve the safety, quality, delivery, and cost."


Meet Huda Yusuf, M.Sc., RAC, Research & Development Rotation Program Manager 

Huda Yusuf says: "To solve complex problems and bring the best solutions for our patients, having a diverse team with different life experiences and backgrounds is critical. I work with our technical leaders to help diversify our pipeline of early career STEM talent."


Meet Bre Jacobs, Senior Program Manager, Strategy & New Opportunities Medtronic Technical Fellow, ADN Memphis Hub Chair | BE@M Community Impact Co-Chair

Bre Jacobs says: "At Medtronic, I develop strategies in Research and Technology Innovation to adapt to rapid changes in healthcare industry trends, global market dynamics, and clinical and technological breakthroughs in our Cardiac Implantables Technology Development Center within CRM. 

As part of Medtronic’s Cardiac Implantables (CI) Research and Technology (R&T) team, I drive and manage the new opportunities pipeline and strategic decision processes shaping the investment portfolio to proactively adapt to rapid changes in healthcare industry trends, global market dynamics, and clinical and technological breakthroughs."


Meet Xin Tang, Senior Program Manager, Strategy & New Opportunities Medtronic Technical Fellow, ADN Memphis Hub Chair | BE@M Community Impact Co-Chair

Xin Tang says: "At our China Research and Development Technology center, our physicians, scientists, and engineers work closely to meet our growing and changing business and clinical needs. We're working to effectively leverage external partnerships to explore opportunities in biomaterial and digitalization technologies."
