Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is celebrated across multiple categories in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards (WUSCA), the UK’s biggest student-voted awards.

The University wins both the Student Life and International categories, and holds second place in University of the Year list.

"Very proud of Nottingham Trent University's performance in the only awards based entirely on the views of students," said Vice-Chancellor of Nottingham Trent University, Professor Edward Peck[pictured below].

Amazing student life

NTU jumped 22 places since 2020 to be awarded the best university for student life.

"Student life is amazing at NTU. Teaching is of an excellent standard. Fantastic location," said a student in a WhatUni review.

“NTU has excellent and modern facilities available for students to use. The libraries are open 24 hours and the staff across all departments are very helpful. Teaching staff care about their students and do not mind going above and beyond for their success...In terms of student life, the campus location has a huge role in this. Although some campuses are far from the city centre, there are regular transport methods such as the bus or tram available even late at night...There is so much to get involved with and lots to talk about. I would definitely recommend Nottingham Trent University!” added another student.

Supporting international students

NTU secured their second award of the night in the International category, capping off fantastic recognition for them in terms of wins and nominations.

"The university has provided so many opportunities to explore different cultures through the Global Lounge and by organising Global Week. The support provided for students during assessments in particular is very helpful. Other than that, the university provided guidance every step of the way in terms of accommodation, opening a bank account and other things that are a part of an international student's life in a new country. It’s been a great experience overall," praised another student via a review on WhatUni.

Highlighting the impressive work of NTU

The annual WUSCAs highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students.

The awards are collated from over 30,000 real student reviews, collected from campuses around the UK and from students using the WhatUni website.
