The EBRD has launched its Gender Academy, an interactive course for all staff designed to strengthen the Bank's gender-responsive investment culture across its sectors and countries of operations.
Committed to integrating gender into projects
In the EBRD's Strategy for the Promotion of Gender Equality 2021-25, the Bank has committed to integrating gender into at least 40% of its projects, and expanding its policy and technical assistance support.
The Gender Academy will help the EBRD deliver on this commitment.
Supporting inclusive practices in the workplace
The EBRD also launched an inclusion e-learning module to support its employees in further understanding how they can better support inclusion practices within the workplace.
The support relates to the Bank’s central mandate and values. The Bank's focus on gender equality along with its work in preventing sexual harassment, abuse and exploitation - plus its focus on transition and social sustainability - are important values that can only be realized externally, if the Bank itself is diverse and inclusive internally.
Diversity and inclusion are key to the EBRD's business performance, and it is crucial that the Bank itself truly embodies the values of its missions.
Promoting sustainable and inclusive market economies
Gender equality is an integral part of the EBRD's commitment to promoting sustainable and inclusive market economies through its project and policy activities.
The EBRD – with its strong private sector focus and extensive experience promoting policy dialogue in the countries where it works – enables countries to leverage the contribution that greater gender equality can make to faster recovery and sustainable, long-term growth.
Work for a bank focused on equality
The EBRD looks to recruit people passionate about its values and work.
Bankers, analysts, economists, IT specialists or researchers can utilize a number of opportunities to support the EBRD in its operations from client relations to communications.
