Exemplary women in engineering
Indeed, 12 Arcadis women were shortlisted for the European Women In Construction & Engineering Awards (WICE) that identifies exemplary women working within the construction and engineering sectors across Europe.
2022 WICE finalists from Arcadis included impressive women like Assistant Civil Engineer, Micheala Chan [pictured above] a finalist in the Best Young Woman Engineer category, Hydraulic Engineer/Modeller/ Project Manager, Roxana Raducu, a finalist in the Best Woman Consultant category, and many more.
Head of Asset Management at Arcadis, Sara Subtil, won the Best Woman Consultant Award category at the awards.
Female thought leaders

Receiving further industry recognition, Arcadis Assistant Engineer Amy Carter was named as the winner of The British Dam (BDS) Young Persons Paper Competition, with Arcadis Engineer Emma Bullen having been shortlisted.
The two female thought leaders submitted a 2,500-word paper on a topic of dam engineering relating to their experience in reservoir research, design, construction, operation, maintenance, or supervision. Amy's paper was titled Drivers for discontinuance: a multi-disciplinary approach to feasibility assessment.
