Theramex has three core principles that drive the company's ambition and success: its values, its unique company culture, and its engaged and dynamic team of professionals. Together, these aspects attribute to making Theramex a great place to work.

Theramex Spain is certified as a Great Place To Work and Theramex Marketing Director for Spain & Portugal, Ana Vidal, explains what the certification means for the company, and for her.

"The first word that comes to mind with Theramex Spain's Great Place to Work recognition is without a doubt, pride," comments Ana.

The importance of understanding the needs of clients

Ana is a Biologist with a Bachelor of Science and Technology of Food Training, and was drawn to Marketing 16 years ago. Ana was always involved in commercial departments, seeing her contact with customers and sales, something essential when taking on her role with Theramex.

"Currently, I perform the role of Marketing Director of Theramex with the main challenge of carrying out projects that add value to our clients for which understanding their needs and agility are the key pillars, of course, always thinking of the great beneficiaries of our broad and solid portfolio, which are undoubtedly women," explains Ana.

A good leader must motivate their teams

For Ana, a good leader must have a strategic mindset, think long term and certainly motivate and influence their teams. Society is becoming more accustomed to a model led by women, less hierarchical and authoritarian, which makes it possible to transmit the security and trust that all employees need.

"For this, listening, empathy and constructive feedback are critical, which is so difficult to give and receive, but which is so necessary to contribute to professional development," comments Ana.

A commitment to nurturing female talent

Theramex's vision is focused on the field of women's health, providing innovative and effective solutions that care for and support women at all stages of their lives.

"I am convinced that the commitment to female talent will continue to increase as it has in recent years, an example of which is that 40 per cent of Theramex Iberia's management committee is made up of women which is, without a doubt, a very encouraging figure that demonstrates the gender equality in the sector," explains Ana.

"At Theramex Iberia we are carrying out a digital transformation process to adapt the company to the new challenges presented by society. This project will give us the opportunity to adapt our actions to a more sustainable environment, such as changing the impacts we make as a pharmaceutical company to an omnichannel environment."

Serving the health needs of women around the world

Theramex has helped millions of women around the world lead better lives. The company continues to work to create effective, patient-centered solutions that help women of all ages. Its sole purpose is to serve the health needs of women around the world, not only now but also in the future, so that they can live a better life.

"Undoubtedly, the early identification of symptoms, a correct and timely diagnosis, together with personalized treatment and correct monitoring are the elements of personalized medicine for women. The aim is for women to be active agents in dealing with their own disease, taking part in clinical decisions and improving their experience and health outcomes," says Ana.

Empowering women in leadership

Ana spoke at The reality of Female Leadership, a key business forum hosted by Spanish media El Economista in collaboration with the Women Economic Forum.

At the forum's round table entitled The reality in female leadership, Ana explained that Theramex has reached 40 per cent of women managers compared to 29 per cent of the pharmaceutical sector, and is therefore one of the best positioned in terms of female participation.

"The pharmaceutical industry is one of the few sectors where it can be said that the glass ceiling has been broken," comments Ana.

"The glass ceiling is not a real barrier. We have to believe that we are capable of breaking it, that we have a different perspective than men. We have to empower ourselves."

Ana also highlighted the importance of managing soft skills, carrying out training courses on equality, having resilience, and knowing how to establish the limits of each one.
