AECOM's Head of ED&I (Europe and India), Rachel Billington [pictured below] commented: "I'm thrilled that AECOM has been awarded the Silver level Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Clear Assured accreditation from The Clear Company. I am very proud of our relentless efforts in growing our maturity in ED&I. To achieve this accreditation we've introduced several positive changes from finding and retaining the best diverse talent, to improving our policies and procedures such as: 

  • Ensuring all job adverts include a commitment to flexible working, promoting work-life balance.  
  • Training our recruitment team and hiring managers on inclusive shortlisting and bias to ensure a level playing field for all candidates.  
  • Through our Employee Resource Groups, improving our understanding of the lived experiences of our people including the launch of our new Beyond Abilities group.

Best practice accreditation for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

AECOM's Wellbeing and Functions Lead for Europe & India, Claire Wilkinson, who led the project team to achieve the silver accreditation, says AECOM are now setting their sights on Clear’s Gold accreditation to continue embedding positive ED&I change at AECOM.
