QBE has launched a cyber offering in the Middle East as part of its global cyber growth strategy. The new offering forms part of QBE’s International Markets portfolio.
To lead the portfolio in the region, QBE has appointed Sarah Hamlat as its Senior Cyber Underwriter.
An industry cyber specialist
Sarah joins QBE from Marsh where she spent more than six years as a Cyber Broker based in Paris, before joining the Dubai office as Regional Cyber Growth Leader. Prior to this, Sarah worked at WTW for more than two years as a Financial Lines & Cyber Broker.
In her new role, Sarah is responsible for driving profitable cyber growth in Middle East and Africa. Based in Dubai, Sarah will report to Rachel Perry, Head of Third-Party Lines for QBE Middle East.
A significant cyber offering
QBE Senior Executive Officer, Head of MEA, Abdallah Balbeisi, commented: “In line with QBE’s significant global cyber growth, QBE Middle East has taken the path of strengthening its local offering with a dedicated cyber resource. The cyber product will complement our Financial Lines offering to meet the needs of our customers.”
Head of Third-Party Lines for QBE Middle East, Rachel Perry, said: “Sarah is highly regarded in the cyber market and the region for her technical knowledge and strong relationships.
