WTW is committed to creating an inclusive work environment where everyone is heard, respected, and valued for who they are. The company supports its employees to achieve the best possible results, for each other and for WTW's clients, by ensuring they have a work-life balance, and are equipped in their WTW career to deal with stress.

Here, WTW's colleagues working in Manila in the Philippines share some of their top tips on how they manage stress.

Importance of gaining perspective and reassessing

WTW Associate Director, Corporate Risk & Broking, Revery San Juan, explains that the first thing she does if she experiences stress is to inhale and exhale. She keeps her mind busy, but then looks at the situation again and reassesses. "List the things that you're grateful for. It helps you gain that perspective instead of just tackling stress head on all the time," encourages Revery.

Ensure there is a work-life balance

WTW Global Collections Manager, Samantha Sta. Cruz, shares that it is important to take one step at a time, and to remember that not everything can be resolved in one day, and that there will always be tomorrow.

"Just speak with your team, speak with your family or your friends, spend time with them, and make sure that there's work-life balance. That's something that I advocate in my team," explains Samantha.

"Really make sure that you don't just think about work all the time. It's always going to be there. So just make sure that you have other things in mind or other activities that you're doing, especially on weekends. Spend quality time with your loved ones," she adds.

Take time out to reset the mind

WTW Regional Leader, Nino Galano, explains that over the weekend, going camping or nature tripping, can help reset the mind.

"It's like a mental break for me whenever I go out into nature or on the beach or to camp, or just spending time with family and friends," says Nino.
