Join Eaton and work for a sustainability focused employer

 February 06, 2020

Want to work for an employer that cares about the environment? Prime employer for women, Eaton, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of membership with The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

WBCSD is a CEO-led organization of 200 businesses working to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. Its members believe that sustainable business lies at the heart of sustainable development.

WBCSD asserts that collaboration across companies and industry sectors is the only option to build a safe and resilient world where sustainable companies are more successful, prosperity is shared and poverty is history.

A commitment to sustainability

Eaton's vision is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services. The company believes it has a vital purpose in the world because it creates products and services that help its customers manage and use power sustainably in a way that fulfills their objectives.

Eaton says company success should be measured by more than financial results — it should also be defined by commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance. That's why the company has established financial and non-financial aspirational goals and works hard to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) progress into its sustainability strategy

Several years ago, Eaton set out on a path to offer power management technologies that reduce impacts and improve performance throughout the entire product life cycle—procurement, use phase and end-of-life management. The company is proud of how far it has come, and is committed to continued improvement.

"We’re proud to be part of the global effort to advance a safer, cleaner and more sustainable future," states Eaton.
