Avon has praised the creator of its AURA fragrance, Victoria Volkova, as part of the company's regular 'Woman of the Week' initiative.
Victoria is a Mexican influencer who shared her entire transition from male to female on YouTube to help others who are confused and in need of support.
TEDx speaker Victoria was previously named one of the most powerful women in Mexico by Forbes magazine. She partnered with Avon to create AURA, an exclusive collaboration which sees a percentage of all sales donated to Fight Against Violence against Women in Mexico.
Perfume as a form of personal expression
Victoria wants to show society that true beauty comes from within; that the most attractive thing in a person is their fascinating energy. She decided to create an iconic fragrance that conveyed a message of security, empowerment and strength and, to do that, she worked with leading a leading international fragrance house in Paris and perfumer Veronica Casanova to achieve the perfect combination of ingredients.
"Perfume, to me, is a form of personal expression,” explains Victoria. “The most important thing is to convey a message of security, empowerment and strength to all the people who follow me. I’m delighted to have achieved that together with a brand like Avon that offers genuine quality in its products.”
