Medtronic partners with Thurgood Marshall College Fund for interns

Medtronic's award-winning internship programs offer real-world experience and the chance to work with extraordinary individuals. Interns will apply their knowledge to important projects, develop new skills, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Medtronic has partnered with The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) to recruit top talent for its internships.

The Medtronic | TMCF Internship Program provides talented historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) Sophomores and Juniors with the opportunity to learn and grow within the medical device industry. 

HBCU students encouraged to apply and join the team

HBCU students majoring in Management Information System, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain, are encouraged to apply and join the team that engineers the extraordinary.

The highly competitive program targets undergraduate sophomore and junior students currently matriculating in the following majors and functional areas:

Engineering

  • Biomedical
  • Bioengineering
  • Computer
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical
  • Software
  • Other related Engineering Majors

Finance & Accounting
IT

  • Computer Information Systems
  • Business Information Systems
  • Management Information Systems
  • Information Technology
  • Other related Information Systems Major

Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management

Internship benefits 

  • Participate in a 10-week, paid internship at a Medtronic site domestically
  • Internship includes the opportunity to receive housing/relocation assistance
  • Participate in a Medtronic Intern Bootcamp, prior to internship start date
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentorship from a Medtronic Champion (manager)
  • Participate in various career development activities to help prepare for your internship and post-graduation careers
  • Serve as a Medtronic | TMCF Ambassador on campus to build awareness of the Medtronic | TMCF partnership and future engagements

Exclusively representing the Black College Community 

Established in 1987, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. TMCF member-schools include the publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).

Publicly-supported HBCUs enroll over 80% of all students attending HBCUs. Through scholarships, capacity building and research initiatives, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships, TMCF is a vital resource in the K-12 and higher education space. The organization is also a source for top employers seeking top talent for competitive internships and good jobs.
