AECOM's Graduate Programme UK & Ireland (Architecture & Design)

From creating new buildings and communities to enhancing public space and economic development, AECOM's architecture and design graduates make the world a better place. AECOM's expertise includes architecture, landscape architecture, interiors, workplace master planning, town planning, urban design, and economics.

For example, at the New Royal Jubilee Hospital in Belfast, Northern Ireland, graduates have participated in architectural design for the hospital. It is designated as a regional neonatal centre with intensive care, delivery suites, obstetric theatres and is a mid-wifery led unit.

AECOM graduates have assisted with the Dubai Expo, providing landscape architecture services for a significant portion of the internal public realm.

At the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 26, graduates were involved with AECOM's virtual pavilion. This showcased some of the world's best sustainable and ecological projects through a web-based, interactive exhibition.

AECOM graduates have also worked with the East Bank, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in London, leading the urban advisory and planning including a new 'East' Campus for University College London (UCL), and a series of new cultural buildings to house the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), BBC, Sadler's Wells, and the London College of Fashion, alongside 600 new homes.

At energy company ESB's headquarters in Dublin, graduates have assisted with interior design and strategy, providing modern office accommodation for up to 1,500 staff, acting as a catalyst to drive organisational change.

AECOM graduates have also worked with Crossrail, London, and AECOM's Economic Development team assessed the development impacts of Crossrail 2. AECOM's work was a core part of the Strategic Case for the scheme, and in 2018 won the Institute of Economic Development award for project with the Greatest Economic Impact.
