Schneider Electric has been named one of the world's most sustainable corporations. This is according to Corporate Knight's Global 100 rankings, where Schneider Electric has earned an impressive 45th place.

A commitment to sustainability
This prestigious recognition comes from Schneider Electric's commitment to tackle energy challenges and have responsibility in the areas it operates. Schneider Electric also tracks its sustainability progress using plans, objectives and openly published results.
Schneider Electric wants to always meet international standards for corporate social responsibility and gain recognition from worldwide leading sustainability rating agencies such as Corporate Knights.
Working together to fight climate change
Part of Schneider Electric's sustainability drive includes collaborating with different local and international organisations. Together, they work on tackling economic, social and environmental issues to create sustainable development.
Chairman & CEO of Schneider Electric Jean-Pascal Tricoire is also Chairman of the Global Compact France. Global Compact has recognised Schneider Electric as a leading company for showing ongoing commitment towards achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2010, Schneider Electric joined the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) after publishing the Manifesto for Energy efficiency in buildings, a document urging companies to implement simple best practices to save energy in their buildings.
Schneider Electric is also part of the Alliance to Save Energy, the Clinton Climate initiative and the Green Grid Association, which all work to tackle climate change and promote sustainable energy sources.
In addition, Schneider Electric has signed the 2˚C Challenge Communiqué, which calls on governments to break the deadlock in international negotiations and take action at national level to ensure a successful transition to green growth and a climate resilient economy.
