Continuing to celebrate the theme #BalanceforBetter in line with International Women’s Day, HCL shared insightful comments from some of its female members across social media regarding the importance of HCL's ASCEND women in leadership programme.
Manager of Products & Platforms at HCL, Stefania Cannone, participated in HCL’s ASCEND program soon after she joined the company. In her social media post, she reflects on how the programme provided her with a important opportunities to connect with others while learning about HCL’s inclusive culture.
Francesca Curzi, a Senior Regional Sales and Services Director working for HCL in Italy, also believes HCL’s Ascend Program was instrumental in helping her establish networks and helped her gain useful insight into the multiple career paths available within the company.

Helping women leaders prepare for exciting career roles
ASCEND is a women in leadership programme which seeks to increase the representation of women in senior management.
The programme mandates increases in the representation of women in senior management via multiple ways, including support programmes, peer mentoring and coaching at all levels, and providing platforms to enable women to learn and exhibit transformational leadership.
Work life balance is key at HCL

Women participating in HCL's ASCEND programme know the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance throughout their career.
Take for example, HCL's Michelle Allen, a senior software engineer in the company's Engineering and R&D practice in the US who actively maintains her passion for the equestrian sport of eventing. Michelle believes her passion for riding horses has certainly taught her to find peace of mind, making every day count. A great message for women as they balance their work and outside responsibilities and interests.
