Now more than ever, it's important that people come together to support others, particularly the most vulnerable and those in need.
McDonald's employees have been supporting their communities with everything from hot meals to messages of hope during the Covid-19 crisis.
Here are some stories of McFamily community action.

Giving respite to healthcare workers
All around the world, Ronald McDonald House programs provide accommodation, food and comfort to families of hospitalized children. In Romania, when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived, and families were no longer staying at the House, RMHC Romania opened its doors and kitchens to give respite to local doctors and nurses.
Supporting staff well-being with fresh produce
Meanwhile franchisees Susan and Rick are supporting the well-being of their staff by dropping off fresh ingredients at their restaurants for crew members staying at home during the pandemic.
Dancing with the Docs supports local RMHC Chapters
With the annual Dancing With the Docs charity fundraiser postponed, thousands of dollars already donated to the fundraiser to support RMHC of Southern West Virginia (Charleston) and RMHC of Central Ohio (Columbus) were going unused. So, franchisee Laurie requested the release funds raised to local RMHC Chapters to support families in need as well as overworked staff.
Launching Thank You Meal program
Franchisees and crew members across the United States are offering first responders and healthcare workers free meals as part of McDonald's Thank You Meal program, launched in response to the pandemic and the needs of local communities.
Bringing hot meals to hospitals
Lastly, franchisees Tracy and Tom brought free hot meals to front line doctors and nurses working day and late night shifts at their local Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center.
A great way to bring comfort during a difficult time.
