Sarah Shin, Chief Diversity Officer

Sarah [pictured above] works closely with the equality committee, the employee resource advisory board, the leadership teams, and the passionate change agents at Cloudera to advance the inclusive employee experience, provide progressive development opportunities around equality and belonging, and drive operational excellence within the organization.

Sarah has more than 25 years of experience in D&I and HR leadership positions at Apple, LeapFrog, HPE, and more. She was previously the head of diversity, inclusion, and learning at Cloudera, where she led various diversity and inclusion initiatives focused on leveling the playing field for women and underrepresented minorities.

Sarah graduated from Boise State University with a bachelor's of business administration degree in general business with an emphasis in labor and industrial relations.

Rose Schooler, Vice President and General Manager, Global Internet of Things (IoT), Intel

Rose is a member of Cloudera's Board of Directors.

She manages overall revenue across the various sales, technical support, and channels capabilities to deliver IoT solutions to Intel customers and partners.

Previously, she served as Intel’s Vice President of the IoT Strategy and Integrated Products Division in the Internet of Things Group (IoTG).

Prior to her role in IoTG, Rose was Vice President of the Data Center Group and general manager of Intel’s Communications and Storage Infrastructure Group.

Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in ceramics science and engineering from Pennsylvania State University and was named to “Who’s Who in Business” by the Arizona Republic in 2016.

She has been a member of industry boards including ATIS and TIA and serves on NCWIT and the Industry and Professional Advisory Council (IPAC) for the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Penn State.


Meet Cindy Maike, Vice President of Industry Solutions at Cloudera

Cindy Maike, Cloudera

An exceptional leader, Cindy Maike has been at the forefront of developing targeted vertical solutions for Cloudera's customers and partners.

She came to the organization due to her interest in data and analytics specific to the insurance industry, and she has a passion for business outcomes.

A favourite part of her job is helping customers and partners solve problems and seeing the positive outcome and impact she has on their business.

Cindy is particuarly proud to be on Cloudera Equality Committee: "iIt' something I've always wanted to do and I'm so happy to have the opportunity," she says.

Outside of work, Cindy loves spending time outside, gardening and sitting on the patio enjoying wine: in the summer pinot grigio, in the winter pinot noir. 

Her advice for her younger self is "Don’t wait until later in your career to be vocal. It's okay to be vocal and have an opinion. While focusing on your career, make sure you are also giving yourself opportunities to be a well-rounded person."
