Promoting environmentally responsible practices
Medtronic Canada was selected as one of Canada's Greenest Employers for a number of impressive reasons.
One such reason is that Medtronic Canada is a founding member of the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care that promotes environmentally responsible practices in the delivery of health care services. The company recaptures its own medical devices to ensure proper recycling
Medtronic Canada also hosted a clean-up crew to pick up litter around the office and surrounding neighbourhood on company time. Meanwhile, through its Quality Begins with Me program, Medtronic Canada hosts quarterly draws to award a free tree to an employee.
