Reinventing Fashion Shopping at Amazon

As a global team that is constantly striving to reinvent and improve the e-commerce experience, Amazon is expanding its fashion team in the UK with a number of exciting roles being recruited for.

Amazon UK has plans to create more than 5,000 full-time jobs this year taking the total UK workforce to over 24,000 by the end of 2017. A new head office in Shoreditch, East London, will provide capacity for more than 5,000 employees in the capital by the end of 2017.

Fashion continues to be one of the fastest growing categories at Amazon and in Q4 2016 alone, sales of fashion from Amazon’s local language websites across Europe exceeded 60 million items.  Model, actress and designer, Liya Kebede, is the ‘face’ of Amazon Fashion’s European Spring/Summer advertising campaign which is appearing in magazines and across social media across Europe.  This is just one example of Amazon’s investment into fashion around the world which also includes sponsorship of Tokyo Fashion Week, state-of-the-art fashion photography studios including a flagship European studio based in London, and a rapidly growing team made up of the most sought after talent from across the fashion industry. 

In 2016 Amazon added more than 350 fashion brands to its offering across Europe including clothing from Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Burton Menswear London, EVANS, Wallis, Filippa K, Wood Wood, Vanessa Bruno Athé, Champion Reverse Weave, Whyred, Won Hundred, House of Holland, Cacharel, J.Lindeberg, Lagerfeld, Paul & Joe; shoes and bags from Moschino, Fratelli Rossetti, Steffen Schraut, ALDO, L.K.Bennett, Vanessa Bruno, Lloyd, Floris van Bommel, Startrite for Kids and Newton running shoes; watches from Ferragamo and Versus, and jewellery by Thomas Sabo.  The newly added brands complement Amazon Fashion’s existing wide assortment of hundreds of loved brands including Boss Orange, Emporio Armani, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection, 7 For All Mankind,  Selected Femme, Petit Bateau, Levi’s, and Lacoste.  

New recruits in the Amazon Fashion team can expect to get involved in new projects and initiatives, driving the performance of the business, and helping build plans for the future. With a mission to make Amazon Fashion the best place to buy fashion online it needs the industry’s most talented and inspiring people to fulfill the Amazon motto of “Work Hard. Have Fun. Make History.”
