Andreea Moraru named EBRD Head of Greece and Cyprus

The EBRD has appointed Andreea Moraru to lead its operations in Greece and Cyprus, based in Athens.

“I am really looking forward to taking on this new role and working with the EBRD’s great team on the ground. Working to support the private sector in Greece and Cyprus, improve competitiveness and strengthen the regional integration of the local economies with investments and policy engagement will be an exciting opportunity," says Andreea.

Supporting the economic recovery of Greece and Cyprus 

The EBRD has been working in Greece and Cyprus to support their economic recovery through large investment.

Andreea is a Romanian national and was a Senior Banker within the EBRD’s Financial Institutions team.  Since joining the EBRD, she has been instrumental in leading and structuring of a wide range of debt and equity projects, as well as developing leasing, covered bonds and NPL business in the EBRD’s countries of operations.

Prior to joining the EBRD, Andreea led the Capital Market Department within the Ministry of Finance of Romania.
