Nearing graduation or just graduated?
European Investment Bank (EIB) traineeships have a duration of three to five months (six months if requested by universities) and provide a chance to gain professional experience in a chosen field of studies, with the added benefit of getting an understanding of how the EIB works.
To be eligible, participants either need to be in their final year at university, or a graduate with less than one year of work experience (since the last degree, excluding internships), and be an EU national or from the EIB's candidate countries.
Proficiency in English and/or French with knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.
Participants are responsible for their own accommodation. In return, the Bank pays a flat-rate monthly allowance to help with living costs and provide reimbursement of travel expenses (one round trip from the point of origin).
Interested in the EIB's traineeship opportunities?
The EIB has two intakes each year:
These are typically announced approximately four months before each intake.
To apply, visit the EIB's jobs website and filter the search by job family.
The EIB only considers applications in response to an advertised opportunity, so bookmark the Bank's job page and make sure to check in around the announcement dates.
The selection process is made through a panel and competition is very high, so the Bank only contacts candidates suitable for a traineeship to discuss their application and availability.
